Hunger Hero Program

Our Free Food & Mid-Day Meals Program. Contribute to one of India’s leading Charities to help our pioneering & pain-staking endeavor to ensure that no poor or under-privileged child goes hungry in India. They are our future and yours.

OUR HUNGER AND NUTRITION PROGRAM

Youngistaan serves the needs of people suffering with hunger and starvation through a two-step program: by cooking hygienic and home-made meals for the poor and distributing the meals to the homeless, and by collecting extra food from restaurants, hotels, weddings and other ceremonies (reducing food wastage) and distributing them to the homeless and other people in need.

The Hunger and Nutrition program strives to improve the dietary conditions of those in dire need for food, and works with existing government agencies and civilian services to save excess food and convert it to a food supply for the poor.

COOKING MEALS

Every weekend, we purchase fresh staple foods and gather together to cook nutritious meals which are then neatly packaged. Take a look at the streets of Ludhiana on a Sunday morning, and you will see Youngistaan volunteers getting on their bikes ready to deliver freshly packaged food parcels to the homeless and others in need.

DISTRIBUTING MEALS

During the weekdays, we approach restaurants and other eateries with whom we have partnered with as restaurant-partners to reduce food wastage. Youngistaan volunteers collect excess food which is then packed and distributed in the evenings to people living on the streets and others in need.

OUR IMPACT

  • Distributed 4,30,000 home-made meals

Frequently Asked Question

Web donations will show up on our database approximately 24 hours after the transaction is complete, but donors will receive an immediate confirmation of their donation.

We can only assist with donations made for the support of recommended charities through Youngistaan; in order to change or cancel a donation made directly to a Youngistaan-recommended charity, you will need to reach out to the charity directly.

Your gift, pooled with other support, will help us deliver critical aid to children and families around the world during emergencies and within our programs.

We welcome volunteers. Youngistaan is a ‘philanthropy marketplace’ and does not work directly with the underprivileged. If working on ground with the needy is what you are looking for, we recommend you contact one of the NGOs listed on our website.

Youngistaan has very high standards on credit card security to better protect the information you give us when you make the donation. We do not store any payment information on our servers.
