Hide Any Drive In Windows 7, Xp and Vista Os.1 comment

As for as we all using windows operating system. And many of us having many of problems like hiding any drive in windows operating system. Its not an windows problem but what we do when we need to hide any drive and we didn’t know how?

So today i am going to write about How to Hide Drives in Windows 7, Windows Xp and Windows Vista. I’ve got this tips from Blogsdna.com. So i would like to share it with all of us.

Steps to hide your drive:

Step First:

  • Go to Start–>Run or use Windows+R keys and type:

diskpart

  • and press Enter. When prompted, press Continue.

Step Second:

  • Now you are in Diskpart. Type:
  • list volume and press Enter. This lists all the partitions of hard disk.
Step Third:

  • Here we will show you how to hide the disk partition F. So the next command will be:
  • select volume 2 and press Enter.

Step Four:

  • Now the last command will be:
  • remove letter F and then press Enter.

After this restart your computer and the respective drive will be hidden!

Now to show your drive again, follow the steps 1 and 2 and then for XP you should type:
  • assign letter f

And for Vista/Windows 7 you should type:

  • assign letter=f

And you have successfully unlocked the Hidden Drive.
